VanMan.ie – Terms & Conditions

 

1. General

All services are provided by Complete Removals Ltd trading as VanMan.ie. By booking our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

 

2. Quotations & Pricing

  • Quotes are based on the information provided at the time.

  • Final cost may vary depending on access, volume, time taken, or additional requirements.

  • Where hourly rates apply, charges are based on actual time spent on the job.

  • Any additional work not included in the original quote may be charged accordingly.

 

3. Access & Customer Responsibility

  • The customer must ensure safe and reasonable access at both collection and delivery locations.

  • This includes parking, lift access, stairways, and clear pathways.

  • Delays due to restricted access, waiting time, or access issues may result in additional charges.

  • The customer is responsible for ensuring all items are ready for collection at the agreed time.

 

4. Packing

  • Customers are responsible for ensuring all items are properly packed unless a packing service is agreed in advance.

  • We are not responsible for damage to items that are not adequately packed or protected.

  • Packing materials can be supplied and charged accordingly.

 

5. Fragile & High-Risk Items

  • Items such as glass, mirrors, TVs, artwork, and delicate furniture are particularly susceptible to damage.

  • These items are transported at the owner’s risk unless professionally packed by our team in advance.

  • The customer must notify us in advance of any fragile or high-value items.

 

6. Condition of Goods

  • We do not inspect or verify the structural condition of items prior to moving.

  • We are not responsible for damage caused by:

    • pre-existing weaknesses

    • poor assembly

    • hidden defects

    • general wear and tear

 

7. Heavy or Awkward Items

  • Items that are unusually heavy, oversized, or difficult to manoeuvre are moved at the owner’s risk.

  • While all reasonable care is taken, such items carry an increased risk during handling.

 

8. Liability

  • We hold public liability insurance covering our staff and operations.

  • We do not provide goods-in-transit or storage insurance.

  • All goods are handled and transported at the owner’s risk.

  • We are only liable for loss or damage where it is proven to result from our negligence.

  • We are not liable for:

    • minor marks, scuffs, or cosmetic damage

    • damage caused during normal handling

    • damage caused by access limitations

 

9. Storage Terms (where applicable)

 

9.1 General

  • All goods are stored at the owner’s risk.

  • Customers are responsible for arranging their own insurance for stored items.

 

9.2 Storage Charges

  • Storage is charged monthly unless otherwise agreed.

  • Charges must be kept up to date at all times.

 

9.3 Access to Goods

  • Storage is managed by our team.

  • Access to stored goods is strictly by prior arrangement.

 

9.4 Condition & Packing

  • We do not verify the contents or condition of stored items.

  • Customers are responsible for ensuring items are suitably packed for storage.

 

9.5 Non-Payment & Lien

  • Storage charges must be paid in full and on time.

  • We reserve the right to retain possession of goods until all outstanding charges are paid.

 

9.6 Contact Attempts

  • In the event of non-payment, we will make reasonable attempts to contact the customer using the details provided.

  • This will include a minimum of three contact attempts across separate dates.

 

9.7 Final Notice

  • If no response or payment is received, a final written notice will be issued giving at least 14 days’ notice of intended action.

 

9.8 Disposal or Sale of Goods

  • If payment remains outstanding after the final notice period:

    • we reserve the right to sell, dispose of, or otherwise deal with the goods to recover outstanding charges

    • any proceeds from sale may be used to offset the balance owed

    • if the proceeds do not cover the full amount, the customer remains liable for the remaining balance

    • if goods have no resale value, they may be disposed of at the customer’s cost

 

9.9 Abandoned Goods

  • Goods may be deemed abandoned where there is prolonged non-payment and no meaningful contact from the customer.

 

10. Delays & Scheduling

  • While we aim to meet agreed times, delays may occur due to traffic, previous jobs, or unforeseen circumstances.

  • We will communicate delays where possible.

 

11. Payments

  • Payment is due upon completion of the job unless agreed otherwise in advance.

  • Deposits may be required to secure bookings.

  • Late payments may incur additional charges.

 

12. Acceptance of Terms

By booking our services, the customer confirms acceptance of these terms and conditions.
