Yes. As well as removals throughout Dublin, we carry out moves between Dublin and other parts of Ireland.

Send us your collection and delivery addresses, preferred moving date and details or photos of what needs to be moved and we can provide a quote.

Do you handle apartment removals?

Yes. We regularly carry out apartment removals throughout Dublin.

Let us know which floor you're moving from and to, whether lifts are available and what the parking and access are like at both properties.

Do you provide the van and removal team?

Yes. Our removal service includes the removal vehicle and an experienced team to carry out the lifting, loading, transport and unloading.

The number of movers and vehicles required depends on the size of the move and access at each property.

Can you dismantle and reassemble furniture?

Yes. We can dismantle and reassemble many common household items including beds, tables and other furniture where required.

Let us know beforehand what needs to be dismantled so we can allow sufficient time.

How much does a house removal in Dublin cost?

Every move is different. The price depends on the amount being moved, access at both properties, distance, the number of movers and vehicles required and whether you need additional services such as packing, dismantling or storage.

Do you provide office removals in Dublin?

Yes. VanMan.ie provides office and commercial removal services throughout Dublin and surrounding areas, from smaller office relocations to larger moves requiring additional crew members and vehicles.

What office furniture and equipment can you move?

We can move desks, office chairs, boardroom furniture, filing cabinets, shelving, lockers, boxes, IT equipment and other typical office furniture and equipment.

Can you dismantle and reassemble office furniture?

Yes. We can dismantle and reassemble many types of desks, tables and other office furniture where required.

Can office moves be arranged outside normal business hours?

Depending on the size of the move and availability, we may be able to arrange an office move around your business requirements.

STORAGE

Do you provide storage in Dublin?

Yes. VanMan.ie provides secure storage for customers who need somewhere to keep furniture, boxes and other belongings between moves or for longer periods.

Storage can be arranged as part of your removal or as a standalone service.

Is your storage self-storage?

No. Our storage facility is a secure managed warehouse rather than a self-storage facility.

Customers don't have unrestricted day-to-day access, so access to stored belongings needs to be arranged with us in advance.

Can you collect my belongings and put them into storage?

Yes. We can collect your furniture and belongings, transport them to our secure storage facility and place them into storage for you.

Can you deliver my belongings back from storage?

Yes. When you're ready, we can arrange a suitable date to load your belongings from storage and deliver them to your new property.

Can I use storage for only a few weeks?

Yes. We offer both short-term and longer-term storage, subject to availability. This can be particularly useful when there is a gap between moving out of one property and getting access to the next.

How much storage space will I need?

This depends on the quantity and size of your furniture, boxes and other belongings.

Send us a list or photos of what you need to store and we can recommend a suitable amount of storage space.

Can you store my furniture between house moves?

Yes. We regularly combine our removal and storage services.

We can collect your belongings when you leave your existing property, place them into storage and deliver them when your new home is ready.

CONFIDENTIAL SHREDDING

Do you provide confidential document shredding in Dublin?

Yes. VanMan.ie provides secure confidential document collection and shredding services for homes, businesses, schools and organisations throughout Dublin and surrounding areas.

Can you collect confidential documents from my home or office?

Yes. We can arrange collection of confidential documents from homes, offices and other premises.

Let us know approximately how many bags or boxes you have and where they're located and we can provide a quote.

Do you provide a certificate of destruction?

Yes. A certificate of destruction can be provided following the secure destruction of your confidential documents.

Can you handle large commercial shredding jobs?

Yes. We can handle anything from smaller collections to larger commercial archive and document-clearance projects.

For larger quantities, contact us with an approximate number of bags, boxes or files and we can advise on the most suitable arrangement.

Do you offer one-off shredding collections?

Yes. You don't need an ongoing contract. We can arrange one-off confidential shredding collections as well as larger or recurring requirements.

MOVING DAY

What should I do before the removal team arrives?

Unless you've booked our packing service, boxes should be packed, sealed and ready to move before the team arrives.

Keep important documents, keys, medication, valuables and anything you'll need personally during the move separate.

It's also helpful to make sure parking and access are clear for the removal vehicle.

Can clothes stay in drawers during the move?

Light clothing can sometimes remain inside sturdy drawers depending on the type of furniture.

Heavy, fragile or valuable items should be removed. If you're unsure about a particular piece of furniture, ask us beforehand.

Do fridges and freezers need to be emptied before moving?

Yes. Fridges and freezers should normally be emptied before they are moved.

Freezers should be defrosted where necessary and loose shelves, drawers and other removable parts should be secured.

Can you disconnect washing machines and other appliances?

We can assist with straightforward disconnection where appropriate.

Anything requiring plumbing, electrical or specialist work should be disconnected by a suitably qualified tradesperson before the move.

Can you carry out a removal where there are stairs and no lift?

Yes. We regularly carry out house and apartment removals involving stairs.

Let us know which floors are involved and whether a lift is available so we can allow the appropriate crew and time.

Do I need to arrange parking for the removal van?

Good parking close to the property can make a significant difference to how efficiently a move can be completed.

If parking is restricted or permits or reserved spaces are required, please let us know and arrange these in advance where necessary.

What happens if my move takes longer than expected?

Moving times can sometimes change because of traffic, access, additional items, delays getting keys or other circumstances.

If your move is being charged based on time, we'll explain the applicable additional time rates when providing your quote.

What if I don't get the keys to my new home until later in the day?

Let us know as early as possible.

Depending on the circumstances and availability, we may be able to plan the move around your key collection or arrange temporary or overnight storage if required.

Should I label my moving boxes?

Yes. Clearly labelling boxes with their contents or the room they're going to makes unloading easier and helps the removal team place them in the correct rooms at your new property.

What should I keep with me on moving day?

We recommend keeping important documents, keys, medication, jewellery, valuables, phones, chargers and anything you'll need immediately with you rather than packing them with your general household belongings.

QUOTES & BOOKINGS

How do I get a removal quote?

Send us your collection and delivery addresses, preferred moving date, a list or photos of what needs to be moved and details of the access at both properties.

Please also let us know about anything requiring dismantling or reassembly.

For larger moves, photos or a video of each room can be particularly helpful.

What photos should I send for a removal quote?

For a house or apartment move, photos showing the furniture and belongings in each room are usually best.

If there are stairs, narrow entrances, long walks between the property and parking area or other difficult access, photos of these are useful too.

How far in advance should I book a removal?

We recommend booking as early as possible once you know your moving date.

Fridays, month-end dates and other popular moving days can book up quickly, although we can sometimes accommodate short-notice removals depending on availability.

Do I need to pay a deposit to book a removal?

A deposit may be required to secure your booking, particularly for larger moves, storage moves or jobs requiring additional crew members or vehicles.

We'll confirm the booking and payment arrangements when providing your quote.

What areas do you cover?

VanMan.ie provides removal and related services throughout Dublin and surrounding areas, covering both the northside and southside of Dublin.

We also carry out longer-distance moves throughout Ireland.
